Special Education Parent Advisory Council

I'm writing to introduce myself as the new President of the Frontier Regional/ Union 38 Special Education PAC (Parent Advisory Council). This past year many people in our community have worked very hard to get our PAC formed. We thank them for their endless hard efforts. The mission of the PAC is to help our community with issues and challenges in our school system, work closely with educators and the school committee, and develop a network of parents in our community as a resource. It is also the PAC's responsibility to conduct workshops, have resources available, and assist to develop awareness of disabilities in our community.

Our Meetings will be held at the Deerfield Elementary School Library from 6:30 until 7:45pm. on the 1st Monday of the month. The September meeting will be the 2nd Monday due to the holiday(Sept 11th). At this meeting we will be reviewing our agenda for the year. We need your input.

Being a parent of a child with special needs has its challenges and rewards. This forum is designed for you to share this with the group and help new and current PAC members through the different processes we must go through as our children grow.

If you do not participate in some way, shape or form, we will not be doing any service for you, your family and our community. We need to hear your voice, your opinion, and your needs. I know life is busy and trying to attend the meeting may be difficult. Please email or call Pam or myself with any concerns and we will address them (665-1384).
